The New Bullit Is Out

Ford has announced the production of the Bullitt mustang. It will have a 312 hp engine. This is 12 more than a stock GT. It also has an exhaust fabricated to sound more like an old school muscle car, as the original bullit. This is just yet another kind of mustang the folks at Ford are rolling out. Lets see if this one is any better than the rest.

SEMA Auto Show

Well the SEMA Auto Show has been in full force this week. A few cars have been very impressive. One of which is the customized G6 that Rapper “50 cent” brought into the mix this year. The car has over 400 HP and although he did not sound like he knew all of what his car had, the car was very impressive. However, there have been a lot of dissappointing cars in the show.

One of which was a 1998 porsche. What was wrong with it? Well it had 1997 rims, to start with. The interior had been disgraced with a massive NOS tank. The rear had fake diffusers, that were probably made in someones garage. Another atrocity, it had fake hood scoops. The scoops literally could be bought at Pep Boys or Kragen. It was almost saddening to look at. The doors had knife handles, and there was cheap bought tin pin striping that was tearing.

Another sad attempt was Sony’s fake lamborghini. On first look, the car looked significant. However, the name on the car was not a real lamborghini name. The engine was from a Chevy Tahoe. Which lead me to the question: of all the engines to pick, why a tahoe engine? The steering wheel was taken from a GTO and the interior did not even compare.

Some magnificent cars can be seen however. The SEMA show is amazing and always fun to hear about. In the coming years I hope to be going. Maybe getting our Saturn sponsored and in on the mix. But bottom line, SEMA has been interesting this year.

The New Bullit Mustang

As most of you car freaks know, Ford has brought out several special edition mustangs. But word has come out like a leaky faucet, they are making a new Bullit Mustang. Word is that it will be open for view at the L.A. auto show next month. I’m not sure how it will look, but it is likely to have a more aerodynamic approach. That means a more angled winshield and lowered roof. I can’t wait to take a look!

A Hybrid Super Car?

Word has spread, and the designer of Aston Martin is making a hybrid supercar. This car will supposedly run in a range of $100,000, but can seat four adults and their luggage (but as a supercar, is that ever possible?). The New BMW TII – And A New Lotus

Theres a new BMW two door, the TII. Its goin in line as a one series, and they say it is similar to what an M1 BMW would be. Recently, it beat the new Nissan GTR, which is Nissans newest model (and is quite stylish, but I hate that it is only available in automatic =[).

Now this TII is just a concept, but right now it is lighter than their other models. Why? Because they are fitting it with a carbon fiber body. Word is that it will be powered by a 2.0 Liter engine, and it has 18 inch wheels on it. The car is small but it has some speed to it!

The new Lotus Elise SC is coming in 2008. It has 220 horsepower from a 1.8 liter 4-banger that lotus has always used. ITt is supposed to weigh around 1990 pounds(our saturn only weighs 2300, and were gonna have over 300 hp yay!). With that little weight it should be able to propel itself from 0-60 in 4.4 tics of the clock. Which is faster than an M5 BMW.

Gathering More Funds For The Sc2 Project – Braking and Suspension

So, as mentioned in the last post, we are gathering all funds for this project online. We found a survey site that we are going to use. It had a free sign up, and the surveys were so quick and easy. The only downfall is that we don’t know how many we will get. We made about $27 but now must wait to take surveys until they post new ones. The link to it is here and it is free. But anyways, to the point.

We currently have the funding for a new suspension and a new braking system. We figure this should be our first focus considering if we want power in this car, we need to be able to handle it and stop it. This is the most important thing in a car. These two modifications will cost us around $2500, which we definitely already have. We realize that if we are going to be serious about this, our budget is more than $10000, or atleast it needs to be.

All our funds come from online. We use programs to help us earn the money like survey sites and such. Two of us, combined, make about $20000 a month. They aren’t even our full time jobs either! Haha, well we will tell you of anything important when it comes to making money online, so you can to. Turning An Sc2 Into a Finely Tuned Racer

Well, heres the project. We have a 1998 saturn Sc2. It has a 1.9 liter dual overhead cam engine, black in color, tan leather interior that is ripping. The total Horsepower is 125, but we added an AEM cold air intake to the system and it boosted the HP to about 138. Not too bad of a boost, but we need more.

Our mission is to take this Sc2, and turn it into a racing and show car. That means engine mods, suspension mods, brake system mods, as well as anything else you can think of. Our budget is, well, planned to be, around $10000 over the course of a year or so. The reason is we make all this money online, because of a blog we found called marketinghelper.wordpress.com

That blog was really helpful and got us started in online careers, so we put it in our blogroll. But anyways.

This blog is dedicated to cars, and everything about them. We will post regularly with new car information, but also, with new information on our Sc2 project car. stay tuned!
